Lenora left the circle with her orb in hand. She fought back the tears of failure. The orthers whispered that she had no magic in her. Dispare filled her as she wondered through the woods, the voice of her teacher filling her thoughts.

Looking down at the orb she felt a slight tingle in her fingers, she stopped holding the orb in the palms of her hands. She began to concentrate chanting the words silently, closing her eyes she said the prayer she had been taught. The hairs on her arm rose and she opened her eyes to see the orb floating slightly above her palms. Surprise crossed her face as she looked at the orb glowing with her magic. Raising her eyes she gave thanks to the Goddess.
