“Keeping Ahead of the Blaze”

Tyrannosaurus rex. An acrylic painting of Heluhska, the T.rex, trying to avoid a seasonal wildfire that is taking place in his territory.

The initial idea and sketch of this was done sometime late last year, and I kept at it as a sort of proof-of-concept piece for another commission I’m working on for a client (which involves a lot of bright lights at night).

Completed in late February 2023.

Done using acrylics, color pencils, and Photoshop 2022.
