Description
"Summer Bathing"Ankylosaurus magniventris, Troodon formosus, Brachychampsa montana. An airbrush painting of a group of sunbathing critters from the Hell Creek formation.
It's finally summer and I'm off to intern in Utah for a month to work on some paleo related stuff. Will finally get to help Prof. James Kirkland reconstruct the nodosaur, Sauropelta, as accurately as possible.
Completed on the 30th of May 2013.
Done using acrylics and water-soluble color pencils.

Hey sweet! Love the overall layout and your take on Carpenter's reconstructed plate arrangement on that ankylosaur.
One point - you might want to put more of an outline around the edges of the anky's scutes a bit - the troodont and the adjacent crocodilians look to be sharply in focus whereas the plates look blurry, as if they were in a different plane of view.

I agree that ankylosaurs had to have has large guts to process their food, but this fellow looks too round to walk.
