Description
"The Best Defense"Anzu wyliei, Tyrannosaurus rex. A drawing I did using color pencils of a Anzu defending itself from an approaching juvenile Tyrannosaurus.
I got the idea from a friend of mine on Facebook as he suggested that some dinosaurs may have utilized projectile vomit as a form of defense like a number of modern birds. I almost completely forgot about this little drawing I did and it's been sitting in my sketchbook for a while waiting to be scanned.
Completed in June 2015.
Done using watercolor pencils.

The Wikipedia article said nothing of it spitting out venom, but hey, that's an interesting theory your friend has there. We'll never know if dinosaurs had adaptations we'd never think they'd have.

This makes a lot of sense, actually. There could be any number of thins that dinosaurs could've done that we may never, ever know about.
