Description Dome-Generator as .OBJ
================

Just a quicky to try some texture-tests in Hexagon 2.5

Basing on the descriptions in the book "Under the Dome" by Stephen King.
(c) 2009 by Stephen King.

If you don't have read the book, i don't want to spoil it to you, what this thing is and what it do.

Model imports in DAZ-Studio or Poser "larger than life", so it can't get lost in a complex scene. King described it
in his book with the measurements of about 3 cm height and 18cm length/width.

P.S. I am eager to see this book as a movie and how the generator may look in it, compared to my imagination.

Great, I think your definition matches perfectly withΒ  the book!

Great job!

I haven't read the book (only watched the TV show), so I don't know the description of the device, but it looks like a "hybrid" between a small mattress and the Book of Shadows from Charmed (without the triquetra). Anyway, I am glad they used an egg-device in the series adaptation, is more elegant and so beautiful and alluring, I, for sure, would watch it day and night sparkling. I mean, it's the best lava lamp I've ever seen, LOL!

Yes, Book and TV-Series are quite different in the Story and partially in the characters too. The series is just aired in germany too (Season 1, Episode 11 so far). I like the idea with the second, little dome around the generator. In the book it was just this box with this pulsating pink light and this weird symbol on it. The tried once to lift it on in the book but failed (but while touching it, they got a vision of the force behind the generator too). and i asked me, why they don't simply try to destroy it... The generator in the TV-series is well protected with the second mini-dome around it.

Oh, so in the book the generator is exposed? Well, maybe the device is indestructible, but the fact they didn't even try to destroy it is kinda weird.

Yes, I agree, in the TV series the generator is very well protected with the mini-dome around it and the Dome Kids moving it from the forest. But there is definitely something to see in the finale episode, just wait. I will say only this. It is the second best episode of the season (after the premiere).

It's an alien-device described in King's book: [link]
I modeled it according to the descriptions in the book.

Read the book a while back, looks good.

Now all we need is a dome...
