This is another entry of mine for the Group Challenge "Portrait" [link]I can't stop drawing portraits. Tasukete!
Charcoal, charcoal pencil, chalk, watercolor paper A3.

Assuming this is graphite you have an excellent crosshatching technique and are not afraid of going really dark. Also, you have a great eye for composition. The picture itself has center of focus to the side, which for me is a really hard feat to make an audience continue to look at. The angle of her face creates tension that forces me to continue looking at this piece. I love it. The contrast is bold, and the gradations are unique. The only constructive criticism that could be said about this is to beware of lines. If you are looking for hypereallistic portraits, like Alyssa Monks oil paintings, you have to understand that there are no lines in real life. Smooth those out with shading. This is one of my favorite pieces, I'm going to keep an eye on you, etc. Good luck with furthering your art.

Stunning work. I can see rough lines when I zoom in, but the overall result is pure perfection. Who is the model? He's just gorgeous, and your skills in capturing him is a wonder.

I used dense watercolour paper and a stump for charcoal. The paper itself has interesting texture.
