Try to make the sun reflection much smaller. I see the sun is very small, so the sun reflection is fake. And again, try to lower the sun, to the horizon, that will give you automatically a sunset. If you want more and better colours with it, go and have a look at your light decay/red setting

Yes, the sun's reflection is definitely too big. I'd increase the size of the sun a bit (both Disk Diameter and Corona), and I'd shrink down the reflections (in the Water window, under the Reflections tab, reduce Reflection Spread. You may also want to experiment with the other reflectivity settings, or read the official user guide at [link] . I’d recommend doing this anyway.) The color's definitely far from realistic, but realism doesn't have to be your goal. I'd also try some smooth water (roughness less than 5). If you don't like the effect, don't keep it, but try it out. Finally, something I've found useful in scenes like this is to try to make contrast (for example, between the sky and the clouds). I did a picture a while ago (I'm going to work on it and post it soon) that had a deep, purplish-blue sky, bright yellow-orange clouds, the horizon was yellow fading to red, and the water was smooth. The way to do this kind of thing is to reduce the simple haze. Here, the color of the sky is coming from the haze. The cloud color is the same as the haze color. For contrast, make the color of the sky come from the atmospheric color, and make the haze/cloud color something different. Finally (yes, I know I said that already), something that is important and I still have trouble with is subtlety. If you want something that's full-blown magenta, like this, don't bother. But if you want a similar effect in a more realistic scene, you really don't need much red at all.

Wow... long, long comment.

(I agree with the reflection thing) but otherwise I think it's pretty cool

ok, on what you can improve, i got this once too, the reflection of the sun in the water is too big for the size of the sun, if i can remember correctly you can change that in the water settings. but over all nice pic
