Hokay, so I've been reading this crazy manga entitled Toriko. Think Fist of the North Stat meets One Piece meets super luxurious food. A manga about Toriko the Bishokuya (Luxurious Food Provider) and Komatsu the Chef (he is on his way to becoming one of the most epic chefs in the world, which in a world centred around food is a Big Thing)The manga is full of crazy awesome adventures (like travelling into the insides of humongous super Mamoth or a Garden among clouds on the boarder of atmosphere or an Ice Hell which makes Antarctica look like a Summer Resort in Caribeans, and everywhere our heroes must face powerful monsters, it's a Eat or be Eaten kind of world. Damn even the kitchenware is Badass here, a knife made by the Master Sharpener Melk the Second could cut a Mountain in Half.
Oh and did I mention that the author is friends with Eiichiro Oda ??

oh god... i started readin the manga a few days ago... this manga contains a good amount of "food Porn" love the series...
i just finished reading the part of the Galala Croc... it was funny and it looked good...)

Haha this manga is BUILT around Food Porn XD Wait till you get to some later chapters like with Regal Mamoth or Century Soup.

Could be the same world, I mean, there's all sorts of weird ass creatures in the HunterXHunter world (Chimera ants for example) and there's even Gourmet Hunters like Menchi, the female Exam proctor who had everyone try to make sushi and then suicide jump for spider-eagle eggs in a ravine.
Heck, HunterXHunter and Toriko could literally BE the same world, only set in different time periods, since a LOT of their respective worlds remain unrevealed and just full of weird ass creatures and people.
I could see Tommyrod being a chimera ant descendant or something.

The More People Die Than Pass Exam ?? I heard about it, well it's not that bad here, Toriko is plenty powerful and he, and his fellow Kings can beat up the beasts. The problem is the Big Evil Organization that wants all the delicious food for themselves, they gave Toriko more trouble than the beasts. AND there is Gourmet World, think Grand Line from One Piece taken Beyond the Impossible. It's a real DEATHWORLD, Toriko almost died many times during his 1-2 hours long visit there XD

Well up until now no main character died... but everything else that dies doesn't really come back to life

Wait, now that I think of it there were these three Yakuza guys who got horribly maimed while buying time for their boss to charge his Super Attack but got literally Kicked into Recuperation by a crazy awesome doctor later in the story.

Shonen, while Tommyrod was seriously scary and creepy nothing in the manga is bad enough to drop it into Seinen territory.

Ohh don't even remind me of that XD The moment he tried to enter, the whole damn Gourmet World was going out of it's way to kill him XD Lucky Toriko that Sani couldn't keep his mouth shut. Truly that Gourmet World is the Grand Line or even New World of Toriko XD
