Update: Episode 4.01 - Added Kristoff and Pabbie
I've been working on this since halfway through Season 3 and after months it's finally ready for prime time!
Seriously, this show is starting to rival Game of Thrones as far as obtuse family trees go. So what I've got here is a simple visual outline of the more important relationships on OUAT. The costume design on that show is so well done that I had to use full-body representations of the characters and hopefully that will be enough because adding names kind of chopped up the light design.
Let me know what you think, I'd love any feedback.
I plan to update this infographic as more characters and relationships are introduced.

This is amazing! I just love how you made the characters and how perfectly you made it fit together since the relationships in this show are really complicated.
Now, after we've seen 4.07 you should add Ingrid, Helga and Gerda and of course Belle's mom - Collette. And it would be amazing if you could somehow put in the characters from OUATiW because that's a part of OUAT too and I really loved that show.

I made everything using Adobe Illustrator and usually about 3 reference photos per character to get the costumes right. It would take a few hours to make each one.
As for OUATIW, I've never seen the show and know a lot of OUAT fans haven't either, so I'm hesitant to include characters that even hardcore fans of the original wouldn't recognize, especially since it's a purely visual design.

With Will now in the show, we at least need the core Wonderland characters (Will and Ana, Alice and Cyrus, Amara and Jafar, the Sultan, and Alice and Cyrus' siblings/daughter/parents)

I thought that Charming and Abigail were not married. Charming went searching for Snow right before the wedding was supposed to happen. So that connection should be demoted to engaged. Although, if you are considering their fake memories, David and Kathryn were married, so maybe you're right. But nice job! This is awesome. I think you should add Stealthy in there too. And now, as this season is continuing, it would be cool (pun intended) if you extend the Arendelle family tree, including Oaken. And I'm not sure how you would do this, but somehow there should be a love connection between Rumple and Cora too. Again, nice job.

I'm definitely updating the family tree for Season 4.
As for Charming and Abigail, yeah I was going off their curse marriage.
And I'm thinking about doing the Rumpelstiltskin/Cora connection. This season is making me do a pretty time consuming overhaul.

I love this! I've got my own family tree in the works but it just has names. Id love to put their images in somehow but haven't a clue how to do it! Any suggestions or ideas?

For this I used Adobe Illustrator.
If you want to use photos from online or scan in your own then Photoshop would be good.
If you can't get access to those then there are freeware programs you can use online.
Gimp is a popular Photoshop alternative, and Inkscape is an Illustrator alternative, but I haven't used either.

The show decided to feature all TWELVE of Hans' brothers tonight, but they were essentially glorified extras. I might leave them out if they don't do something more important later this season.

Oh, also Red had a romance with Peter and Anita was her mother (I don't know if she's Granny's daughter or just "in-law").
We also meet Henry's father in the episode The Miller's Daughter.
And the spinner ladies could have a foster line with Rumple. Archie could have an adoption line with Pongo!
Hans haven't appeared yet, but he was engaged to Anna before Kristoff.
Another characters: Bo Peep (near Ruth and Charming), Lancelot (near Snow, Charming and Ruth), Ursula (near Ariel and Eric), Johanna (near Snow or her mother).

I would link Charming and Abgail with an engagement line. Abgail and Frederick probably married.
Cora and Rumple had a romance.
Stealthy, the 8th dwarf that died in Season 1 is missing.
When August came to Storybrooke I thought he and Emma would have something, but then we find out he's Pinnochio. So they hadn't any romance and none of them was in love with each other.
You could put Hansel and Gretel and their father too. Also Rapunzel and her parents.
Not so important, but Tiny (the giant) had brothers and a father. And some parents also appear in the story, like Thomas' father, Frankenstein brothers' father, Anna and Elsa's parents, Archie's parents, Gepetto's parents (dolls).
Maleficent could be near Aurora and Phillip.
Just ideas to make it better! I loved this!

Yeah, I'm constantly thinking of new ways to structure this. There are certain characters who may not be visually striking enough to be recognizable (like the spinner ladies or Zelena's adopted parents) that I hesitate to include, but you never know. I do plan on introducing Anita and making a few of the changes you suggested.

Gotta say one of my fave things from this is how the line from Regina to Graham and then Graham to Emma looks like its connected because its not centered through Grahams body (I know its unintentional and its just for the lines to stay clean) in my shipper heart I can trick myself into thinking that Regina and Emma are connected and that Graham was a side distraction for them both to get to each other.
Love the whole design and would actually hang this on my wall because its so pretty and shows how hilariously ridiculous the show is.

Amazing. Awesome work. Not to be picky, but Victor and Gerhardt Frankenstein's father is Alphonse as seen in "In the Name of the Brother" and Prince Henry/Valet's father is King Xavier as seen in "The Miller's Daughter". There are others, just I thought I share some now. Great work overall.

Yeah I considered including them, but I'm always weighing a few factors:
1) How important the character is
2) How recognizable they are
3) How they affect the overall design
Unfortunately some of those minor characters didn't meet the criteria, but as the seasons go on I'll consider including them.

This the best family tree I've seen for this show. Β Love how you included everyone, not just those who fit onto Emma/Henry's family tree, like Ariel, Cinderella, etc. Β I also like how the depiction for each character is simple but you know exactly who everyone is, awesome work

I don't know if you forgot about it or it was your intention to not include cora's romance with rumple, I mean Cora said she rips her heart out because he was the only man the he ever loved. But overall this is Amazing. I really love it.Β

I did think about that, but like you said Cora pretty immediately removes any feelings she has to avoid becoming weak, so it didn't seem right to include them.
Also it would have been a huge hassle to connect the two π
