I keep watchin' the world go by in bullet time
Keep pushing the pain back down inside
Time trickles away as golden hammers chime
I keep hunting the peace I've been denied

Movies like "Die Hard" and directors like Christopher Nolan and John Woo prove that action movies CAN be intelligent and aesthetically beautiful.
For example, a great way to make an artistically beautiful firefight is to have the shootout in slow motion in the rain with classical music playing in the background. Don't forget to include the shot of shell casings falling alongside the rain drops (as per this great picture is).
Sorry if I seem like I'm rambling, but my dream is to be a filmmaker and I'll always be an action flick guy at heart.
It's a shame that John Woo isn't making Heroic Bloodshed films anymore.

it is a shame with John Woo. What you wrote, i agree in 100% if you have that thinking about making action movies, i hope you will have a chance to make one

thanks, good to know i found them after live performance of Warsaw uprising. Not the jewish one, but that bigger and more important, that lasted for 63 days and was in whole warsaw. Its sad that its not well known in the world
It was the largest and longest uprising in World War II

wkładałem łuski do kubka z niewielką ilością wody, a nastęnie przechylałem kubek i łuski razem z wodą wypadały na lustro. Huk był straszny
A potem skleiłem do kupy kilka takich ujęć, ponieważ mam tylko cztery łuski, i wyglądało to trochę biednie
