Years ago when I was a Teenager, I used to collect the White Dwarf Magazine and I remember when the Planet Necromunda was first introduced to the Warhammer Universe in an Article in that Magazine.In that Article was a pencil drawing of one of the Hive Cities that dot that planet. I remember being blown away by that picture and its an image thats been with me for years.
I have had many goes at doing my own version of this image even though I have long since lost the Magazine.
None have really matched up with what was in my head.
Its been several years since my last attempt, but I thought I would have another go. And this is the result.

Oh yeah, you do know that there are novels that take place in one of necromunda's hives. I only have two, but I'm always on the lookout for others.

You see the tiny little buildings in front of the hive? Just think that each of those is several times the height of the empire state building, and you'll have a good sense of scale.

I love this. A real mindblowing portrayal of a hive city... though it does look a tad small for Hive City!
I have a Delaque gang on paper just waiting to be modeled and played with, there's quite a following near my area.

Really? Well, do you see that bit on the bottom left of the city, between her boot and the pole on the platform? You could fit NYC in there beneath the clouds, easy. Thats the kind of scale I was going for.

I know the picture you mean, It was in one of the first White Dwarfs I bought. (and have to this day!)
