Here are the fairies in their final designs. The names may change.I figured, as I was thinking more and more about the story, that there would be an underlining parody, homage, and teasing of the standard Disney stereotype you see in their films, but it would be VERY subtle- it wouldn't affect the original idea or any of the details. So since this takes place in a fantasical world, with the fantasy elements being endangered, I knew there had to be fairies. To add to the parodies, they would all be take-offs of Tinkerbell, but would each have a mature, frisky, irreverent side to them. They're almost like a hippie commune.
If you have suggestions for better names, I'd love to hear them. It would be like my previous name contests, only by six.

Cran is actually a good idea. Although it wouldn't have an UMF to it, like he does, and will many people make the connotation to 'cranberry' and then to 'red'?

You're probably right... Hum, all the names I can think of are kind of stereotypical. But maybe since it's a parody, that's what you're going for in a way...? In that case I think of Blaze, or Burn, or something. Oooh, or Coal. That's not so common.

Blaze would suit him better than, Coal. Besides, I named each of of these guys by what i call "Pixar" names- obvious ones.

I think my favorites are either Moss or Daisy
Though I'm not entirely sure on the gender of Daisy, but by the name I hope it's a female!

I love how they look overall, as a group! The colors are so eye-catching, and the gestures are so lively & fun!!!

i love how they really DO have an edge to them and still look like the stereotypical happy-Tinkerbell-fairy. lol the designs are greta, and all so different. I love Moss's wings XD

These designs are great. How did you get the glow effect inside the fairies? Great stuff.

I used the Overlay Blending option on the brushes when I painted the highlights on them.

Are you using Photoshop or Painter. I haven't tried to do to many highlights on my pieces. Just can't get the technique down.

Male pixies/fairies! HELL YEAH! XD Yah, Disney does tend to stick in those stereotypes. But that makes it all the more fun to make fun of them. XD

i love the difference in each of them, you can already get an impression of their personality. the only name that doesn't seem to completely fit to me is crag.

Wow! These guys look like craziness waiting to happen. Heh, Ivy's got wings coming out of her butt. They all look really innovative and have really distinct personalities. Their names seem fine to me, just to throw that in. I'll be waiting to see more of them. Really cute!
