There was only ever one person for my Shepard, and that person was Kaidan Alenko. Getting to watch these two awkward dopes slowly build a relationship over the course of the trilogy was a personal highlight for me as a gaymer who just wanted to have the same fun everyone else was having in this incredible universe.And as I prepare to take these two on their final adventure with tomorrowβs DLC I just want to say thanks Bioware, from the bottom of my sappy heart.

awwwwwwww! not gonna lie, knowing how it all ends, and seeing this, it actually made me tear up...its such a BEAUTIFUL picture and u can see the love they have for each other...being a gaymer, I LOVED seeing their relationship go from friendship to romance.

[gasp.] Oh my god, yes! This picture is amazing! I actually remembered that one fanfiction you were commissioned to do an artpiece for when I saw this, and it mentioned how Shepard always loved his models. This is like so perfect for it and everything else! Oh geez, I'm like fangirling here. How embarrassing.
And dude, I feel the same way. I made a Shepard special for Kaidan as soon as I heard he was (finally) a romance option for manShep. Even when I didn't know, I waited. And then it happened; Jason Shepard (Vanguard, custom face) finally got to be with the man he loved from the beginning. Sure, we had to wait...but it was worth it.
Thank you for your artwork, thank you BioWare for letting this happen outside our minds. Day one purchase of Citadel, here I come!

The picture itself is perfect in every way, but then that description had my heart breaking. It was an amazing journey and these two were by far my favorite relationship to develop throughout.

...and thank YOU Andrew for enriching my Mass Effect experience with your fantastic artwork. You've shown us things that might happen after the endings as well as the characters in alternate realities. (your Mass Effect/Dragon Age crossover was brilliant!) And while tomorrow will mark the end of my Shepard's story (who likewise knew that it would always be Kaidan), it's a comfort to know that the game and your beautiful creations will always be within reach should I wish to revisit the magic once more.

I. ADORE. THIS. Beautiful work as always. Just fantastic in every way. I'm sad that tomorrow brings the last we'll ever see of these amazing characters, but what a ride its been. What I'm most sad about, is that we won't get to see as much art of these two from you now that this is their last adventure.

i love adorably awkward romances, which is why Garrus and femShep are one of my favorite pairs (and the romance i always pick for my Shep).

My weirdest part for my second main Male Shepard, Carric, was like 2 missions later Kaidan says "You didn't wake me up before you left?"
I just thought "Dude it's been like 3 days?! You animals!"
and then I thought... "Ah well it's been 5 years in the making."

I just picked up the trilogy this weekend, and I am super excited to play through them! Although I hear you are only allowed these kinds of interactions in the 3rd one?!!

Actually, if you have PC, you can use "mod" that enables romance with Kaidan (that was actually planned into 1st game, just cut off, [or blocked off, maybe?]), which have it's special lines, and the second and third game are recognising the choice of your m!Shepard romancing Kaidan.

Know your pain, bro, I played on console, too. But, cheer up- I think the players, who romance Kaidan for first time, gets some extra dialogue lines, which are cute, and nice, and fuzzy, and the players who did used the mod (or romanced Kaidan with f!Shepard) don't >D
