Soma fails at Potions, hahaha.I love how this came out so much. >u<
The smoke got kinda pixely after it was animated, I use a website to animate so maybe that's why. /needs animation program/

Thanks! Well, in the books there were students who had a hard time at potions, and I myself suck at making potions on Pottermore. It's tough because you have to cut/mash/mix things in a short time frame while remembering to do it in the correct order. With my OC I figure she would have a hard time keeping up with the fast pace and flustered would mess up the instructions. After time passes and she'd had more experience she would become better at making potions, but this is drawn when she's still not so good at them.

Didn't really try the potion making stuff on Pottermore. Usually compared potions to chemistry classes (especially those where you just go into the lab and do something). So, for me... it would probably end with losing points because of not following the instructions (even without messing it up). Or having the luck to be in the right house.
But the things you mentioned actually are "good" reasons to mess things up. Just out of curiosity, what is something Soma is good at?

I find the Pottermore potions hard, I've messed them up more times than I've made them correctly. Making potions in the line of video games seems easier though, I made a ton of potions in the DS version of Half Blood Prince. I've never had a chemistry class so I'm not sure exactly how well they relate, but I assume they're similar only potions wold probably be harder because of the magic aspect to it.
In terms of Hogwarts classes? I honestly haven't put too much thought into what classes she would be good at (Soma isn't strictly a Harry Potter OC, rather she is a regular OC that I tend put into the HP world sometimes because it's fun and I thought it would help me write.) Right off hand though I think she would do best at Charms, because it's not too difficult of a class and would be something she would enjoy. Being a Muggleborn she would also be good at Muggle Studies. She would also be highly interested in Transfiguration and Care of Magical Creatures because she loves animals (whether she's actually good at those classes or not). She would also probably like Divination and Astronomy but would most likely get bored of them after a while.

haha Yeah I never thought Potions sounded hard; it's just following directions or like cooking. When I tried brewing potions on Pottermore I was all "This is gonna be easy- what what what is this why is it hard?!"
I don't try making potions anymore because I feel I disappoint Snape when I do. |D

Well you don't want me to try and cook, and I'm so klutzy that the only way I passed chemistry was by doing all the written work and leaving the mixing and making to my lab partners.
Pottermore is slightly better, I want that Potions badge! Now I just need a day where I can try like 20 times...
