Couldn't think of a decent title, I kinda suck at those XDConfused? I highly recommend you check out the Sonic the Comic 3-part story, Running Wild ([link] ). It was the first time I ever saw Super Sonic in my life, and it was the first thing I saw that truly set STC apart from other adaptations (I was 7 at the time, it blew my mind X3).
So a while ago I was working on a pic of Sonic's transformation into Super Sonic during Running Wild, but I scrapped it 'cause I couldn't get the look right. May post it on my blog sometime if anyone wants to see a WIP of it :3
This was WAY too much fun to work on. The sketchy lineart, rough colouring, playing with panels to a small extent, I really love how this turned out.
Hope you guys enjoy! Even if you don't read STC, I still hope the art and style is enjoyable ^^

Thanks a lot! I really did have a lot of fun making this, it's been ages since I've drawn anything with rough lineart and colouring that was intended to be complete that way ^__^

but i think the zap lines should have been different becuz they kinda look a bit cartoony compared to the rest of the drawing which looks dynamic.

Yeah, I was having a bit of trouble with them. I wanted to replicate how they were done in the comic, but I'm still figuring out how best to get an effect that works right.

I love the sketchy lineart and textured colouring! it fits together really well!!
I also really like the little "Zapp lines" for want of a better word... that seem to flow round him!
The yellow creeping into the tips of his spines is a nice touch too!! :3

Gotta say, it's the first pic I've done in a while where I've felt the flow, lineart and colouring have all worked together perfectly for me. So many pics never get done because I can't find the right way of pulling it off X3

I remember Super sonic beating the living daylights out of everyone. This was an amazing comic.
I love the way that all the lines are rough, I.E No solid lines. I'd love to see more in this style

Really it was your 1st seeing super sonic? So let me introduce you the super sonic sonic song [link] oh this brings me back memories, i used to get all the chaos emeralds in the 1st stage now i'm kinda rusty on that xD
This was his 1st aperence on sonic 2 with tails:3 the 1st game only had 6 emeralds, but supersonic on the 2nd game had a LOT of glitches, like in the end, when you save the animals and you have more then 50 rings you just stand in the air and the lvl didn't end

I know all about his appearances ingame now, I've got Sonic Mega Collection and all that. Thing was, I had a Game Gear only, and Super wasn't in there. My first real time seeing him was in Sonic Adventure, and I wondered why he wasn't destroying everything XD
