It reminds me of the kind of desperate moments when you feel like life is slipping away. Either it`s too short to do everything you want, or you just don`t know WHAT is important enough to be done. Days are idle and you spend them on nothing, and then you loathe yourself for it, but are too lazy or beat down to actually do anything about it. Then you loathe yourself some more for being too dumb to figure out your personal "meaning of life" and then blame time for passing too quickly. But those moments also pass quickly, so you forget about all that stuff and continue doing your unimportant idle things.
Damn, I sound like some teenager.
Anyway, I noticed this image for its colours, the soft brown and the sunset glow. It`s really horrible that someone should look so unhappy with such colours. Though I`m not even sure that it`s a sunset.

Thank you for your lovely version. Yes, it is interesting how colours are important to describe our feelings. On the other hand they even influence in our life. Thank you for visiting my gallery.

well, i'm going to have to stray from what appears to be the common perception of this photo and say what first entered my mind when i saw this. it stuck me as erotic... because of her body posture i would say that in my minds eye i could see a man, just outside of the camera's reach, entering her from behind. the position of the hands also gives me this impression. to me it doesn't seem to be a typical hand position of grief or loss...but rather a moment of sexual passion and some release. and as well the wooden deck and implied outdoor scene make it all seem fitting and adventerous in my mind.
...well, you asked...

wonderful!!! I like your version...it is different from others. That's the idea when I submitted this image, that you say whatever it comes to your mind. Thank you very much for your kind feedback...I will see you....

as an afterthought... i suppose in my mind the title could indeed follow my scenario. ...feeling like there's not enough time to endulge in such a secret and adventerous act in a semi public setting...
... i'm so glad you liked my version.

This is sad...it's almost as though she lost something by the way she's placed. That or she's dying....I just can't pick between the two.

What I see is wonderful shapes (formes en francais) and colors . What I see is a very good photo. I don't know the meaning of the position or the cause of her fall, but I think that you made a photo with an incontestable aesthetic value. I'll be back.

I don't know why, but she looks like drowned. Like she's been found by the shore and carried to the porch of someone's beach house. There's nothing they can do for her anymore. She's got her peace.
I love those warm, peacefull, brownish colors. This must be .

i tend to be rather dramaric when i see images like this one...because it's a young person you tend to think, not enough time, maybe not enough time to live...maybe she's sick, maybe not enought time to enjoy of someone of something, of everything as a whole...maybe the loss of love, or the loss of god,...most likely suggests a fragile creature who's being struck by a terrifying revelation...the closeness of death or the loss of a loved one, in tragic circumstances... the right arm is male and the left is female...mabe not enought time to realise her/how own true nature?
in the plastic, the shot is beautiful. in the composition, how her figure seems to slide and disappear to one side, how the colours of subject and background appear in perfect armony. the hair colour is so well manipulated in levels, it does not let you guess the age ....but for the smooth of the skin of the arms you'd never wonder...
instant fav, very good job

You have made a very interesting list of reasons, some of them unexpected ones. Among those you have mentioned, what would you choose to depict your feelings when viewing this image?

Well, firstly I really like this Dev.
For me, I get the feeling of despair or "at-the-end-of-one's-rope" tiredness. But that may also be because that's how I'm feeling at the moment. All I want to do is rest, and it looks like the girl in your photo does too.
I hope I haven't offended your fantastic photo.
