King Smoothcheeks knew he had to keep his promise after hearing that Pico had kidnapped Strawberry Shortcake with the intention of forcing her to fall in love with him. He promised that the next person to kidnap Strawberry (who is taken by Huckleberry Pie), would be blown to pieces by the missile.

Pico the Funkass has been struck after capturing her twice, and on the second instance, he licked and touched Strawberry's feet (which is forbidden as sh-t.)
