Rarity kept her eyes focused on the closed curtain, the applause beginning to fade. Her magic twisted around her fan, now snapped shut and close to her chest, using all her might not to rise to the comment the pink pony had thrown her way.

“ Oh please keep it up! You might even be able to get the whole crowd walking into cursed forests “

Rarity couldn’t open her mouth, she knew it’s what she wanted. It had been so horrible seeing someone she once saw as a friend turn so sour. Her and Pinkie Pie had always been close, even after the virus struck they’d once been a pair but now…

“ Ponies like to be seen “ Rarity spoke softly, “ I’m simply giving them a voice “

“ And what a miserable voice it is “ Pinkie smirked, shaking her head.
“ Well, I'll try and give these ponies an actual show and make life not so bleak! “ she giggled, shoving past the looming unicorn.

“ Distracting them from the truth? Making light of death itself? You find it so easy to make fun of me, make fun of those suffering…” Rarity twisted her fan, her eyes locking on Pinkie, “ Why not joke about the sound your family made as they were crushed beneath those rocks? I think your fans would find it hilarious they didn’t even die by Roots but by a byproduct of them- “

“ Don’t you have a letter to send to your little lover-pony? “ Pinkie’s smile never faulted but her snappy tone shone through clear as day.

“ Don’t you have to have your pre-show drink? “ Rarity smirked, heading off the stage. She shouldn’t have stooped to her level, she knew she shouldn’t have, but by Celestia did it feel good.

“ Goodbye, hag “ Pinkie blew a raspberry at her lost friend.

“ Good luck, relic “ Rarity huffed at her new rival.

So these two are TOTALLY BFFs… not

There is a small selection of ponies whose sole job is to boost morale. Acting, dancing, singing, telling jokes and performing, it is their job to provide entertainment and a splash of normalcy for the ponies of their ZONES. If they are an incredible performer they will be heavily protected and even toured around the different ZONES that are allies.

Pinkie Pie is the primary star of Ponyville and is incredibly famous across most ZONES. Ponies will trade an abundance to get a ticket to her shows. She is a comedian who often sings very catchy, poppy songs.

Meanwhile Rarity Bellatrix is one of many within ZONE E-4 (Canterlot). Her singing voice, while gracious, is on the same line as a few of the others. What sets her apart is her light display. Some do this too but it is either basic or others conducting. Rarity’s, however, is all her own and beauty to behold.

Pinkie tries to show ponies the bright side of life, Rarity tries to show ponies they aren’t alone… so they have some creative differences.

The pair used to be a duo but after an incident the pair parted away and now are constantly passive aggressive towards each other. The hate burning inside the two is building and building and will eventually burst.
