Although you called this "Cyborg" - I get no mechanic association. It's just great colors and forms which form slightly smiling face. Great work.

I tend to give titles with meaning as I percieve them as part of the work. A title can give additional information or feeling or add a mistery to the piece of art. In this particular case I need to discard the title as non relevant and it makes some "hole", however small, in overall perception of the work.

I know what you mean and maybe I could think a bit longer about giving better titles for the watchers. It's just that when I looked at this drawing, I got the association "cyborg" and I thought it would be a fitting title.
Personally I think that titles are not so important and most of the time I don't pay much attention to the titles of other artworks. I agree that an artwork with a deeper meaning or a difficult concept behind it would profit from a meaninful title, to give the watcher more information. But for most of my artwork it's not the case (they don't have a big concept behind them) so I just think about choosing a title that fits for the work.

I really love cyborgs, and this reminds me of one of my own probably because of the use of markers. Your marker work is quite smooth I admire your skill with them. I'm terrible with markers, so I go over them with colored pencil or digitize the drawings whenever I use them, to hide the lines I inevitably leave. More than a cyborg this reminds me of something a bit archetypal like a native art, a bit like Dmitry Ezhov's almost. It's because it looks like tattoos on the face and symbolic patterns in the background I guess.
