Description A bit different Vriska Serket robot arm tutorial: Part 2 - The Colors
~ NO COMMISSIONS ~

Part 1 - The Glove anniina85.deviantart.com/art/V…

OH GOG. This took longer than I expected! I'm sorry for the delay. ;-; traveling, school exams, social life.. you know the drill. But now it's here!

I explained pretty much EVERYTHING in this part, so this might sound like a tutorial for dummies haha. I just wanted to be thorough and explain ALL the pros and cons I went through with this process. ALL OF THEM. I hope this'll be helpful on your own path of Vriska cosplay~ <3

PS: I'd LOVE to see your results! <3

I'm totally doing this! The only problem is that I'm left handed and it's gonna be a hell to sketch with my right :/ therefore I'd like to know how much you're drawing with the glove actually on.

aww, tricky! I basically drew everything with the glove on so... hmhmmmm. maybe if you drew the basic guidelines when the glove on, and then swithed to the other hand, kinda wearing the glove backwards if possible and finished the job.....? just an idea, dunno if it'd work. : I if not, i guess you need a friend to help you out and wear it for you

Q#1- Do I really need to us copic or are there other pens I can us?
Q#2- I dont have tights but I have gray leggings and want to do something for Tavros's legs. So would this work with leggings as well?

Anniina85 In reply to EmeraldOxen65 [2012-11-25 11:48:20 +0000 UTC]

1) copics blend like a dream so yeah. neopicos have the same kinda soft blending nibs so those might work too.
2) well, why not. first make a test run with a piece of fabric, then you know how the marker behaves with that specific fabric, will it bleed etc.

XenSilence [2012-11-18 19:43:19 +0000 UTC]

Would these work on gray or silver jeans? I'm planning my Tavros cosplay, and I hate leggings. So would copics work on jeans or would that be too thick/rough/whatever? Not wanting to get white jeans and dye them grey and whatever, I'm impatient. xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Anniina85 In reply to XenSilence [2012-11-18 19:49:39 +0000 UTC]

well, why not. the fabric might kill the markers a bit faster but yeah, you won't know until you try. : D experiment with some old jeans or something first to get the feel. I've seen a few people use jeans successfully

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

XenSilence In reply to Anniina85 [2012-11-19 00:45:10 +0000 UTC]

Okay~ Thanks. I could always cut up a piece of old jeans I have that are like twenty million sizes too small for my ass and test it, but they're really dark jeans.... I'll follow you and when I get around to doing everything, I'll probably take pictures, if not, record it with a friend and whatever :3 and send that to you

At first I was just planning on painting my arm, but this seems much better!!!

Do you think this would work for robo legs as well for a Tavros cosplay?

Wow, this looks so amazing!! Thank you for taking the time to write this all out. I've been debating on how I was going to create Vriska's arm, but I think I found a winner with this design.

Anniina85 In reply to Seamii [2012-10-18 06:06:41 +0000 UTC]

copics are alcohol based so no. the colors will fade a bit though from all the wear

Thanks for uploading this! I'm gonna use this to make Caliborn's roboleg! I was worried I would have to go all out to make a fake leg, but with this, it'll be so much easier!

sweet! I've seen this used in Tavros robolegs but not in anything Caliborn related yet. : D good luck!

I wish I had found this earlier. XXXXD

I'm doing a male Vriska for a group cosplay with my friends in Florida and I'm making Vriska's metal arm, but I've made it with a black glove with piece of dull metal fabric as the plates.

The way you've done it here is amazing and looks a lot simpler than the way I'm trying to do.

Anniina85 In reply to kakashischidori [2012-10-03 23:31:36 +0000 UTC]

ooo. good luck with that! There's so many ways to make an arm, it's great
