I recently switched to Canon, but I would definitaly recomend the D70 to anyone that is starting out on their first digital SLR. It is a very nice camera with excellent build quality and some great featurers. I haven't looked at prices recently, but the new Rebel XT (aka 350D) is another great choice.

Technically outstanding! These elements 'float' on a mystical substance neither water nor fog but the breath of nature. These are representative of the pillars that support the existence of the so called superior life forms, the animals, among wich we find the genesis of humanity. In fact all kingdoms are here except one. Interesting too how the processes shown here are essentially related to the decaying of biological matter(from wich future renewal of life will arise) than to its birth. The trunk itself seems much like returning to the mineral world and at the same time the eroded rocks are seen giving direct support and matter to some of the most simple vegetal life forms such as the likens and moss. And of course, the universal agent of all transmutations is present, water impregnates everything in this image.

The first thing that really stood out to me was that log in the upper right hand corner. The way it emerges out of the water like that looks really neat, especially because the water seems to soften the texture of the wood and almost give it that smooth, smudged look that's often seen in paintings.
The other subjects in the photo are well captured too, like that large glossy rock at the bottom of the frame. I like how slick and shiny it looks because of the water, and the leaves are placed nicely, not too many but just enough, with a few brighter colors to give some more vividness to the shot.

The details are gorgeous - the branch is like liquid onyx... love the splash of yellow to complement the dark rocks.

It really seems you captured an example of a leaves, as representatives of all kinds of trees. Cool idea! The appearance of the water is amazing.

Beatiful composition, the colors just match, crop is just right and the blurred motion on the right is just LOVELY. Hmm, you added the leaves to scene manually (by picking them from the ground and putting them on the rock) ?
Only thing what is bothering me is the frames, dont like the 1px strokes there : O
