V-PLEASE READ THIS FIRST-V
In case confusion comes, I am not one of those people that attempts to call debatable things "consequences." as if they were automatically justified. This stamp is more against that concept.
Anyway, I keep on seeing many problems with our society be disguised as "consequences" as if it's automatically justified, and this type of crap is exactly why I hate the word "consequences".
What some people believe:
- That firing someone from their job for stating a political opinion is "consequence"
- That taking away a lawful career against a changed person (e.g. ZeRo) is a "consequence".
- That witch-hunting and/or death threats to a person for something bad they did long ago (crime or not) is a "consequence".
- That the death penalty is a "consequence".
- And many other disgusting things.
Frankly, these so-called "consequences" are just choices some of society has made. The only justified "consequence" involving society is rehabilitating bad people and then restoring there rights, and making even one exception to this is perverted and is a complicit to why there are more victims. The idea that a person should be isolated from society for life for example is a debatable idea, and is a poor choice used by some people in society, which is a fault on its own. The word "consequences" is probably Twitter's favorite word.
If our "society" keeps on calling their own faults "consequences", then it's likely the same as society admitting to not take responsibility for the problems they've caused themselves. Some so-called man-made "consequences" is responsible for some people giving up in life, and not bothering to improve, ZeRo for example may be a victim of that. Certain "consequences" HAS certain consequences.
Some say that "cancel culture" doesn't exist, only "consequence culture". Frankly, I think it's the other way around if I'm thinking right here. Cancel culture does exist, it's mainly being masked more often.
Maybe I could make a separate stamp involving "consequences" alone someday.
