Description The living man represented in this drawing is Victor Iancu, I made this drawing for him as a gift.
My thoughts behind this were someone who's happily accepted Death.
It is about overcoming the fear of Death and seeing the goodness in not being alive.
Pain is what drives us away from both life and death, so we try to sit in between both. But there is no denying the arrival of Death.
The flowers represent illusions. The only way to escape is to see past the illusions of the world, to wake up and understand who you really are, the Void.
The cup contains blood and I thought about how when one becomes the Void, he also loses compassion for those around him and could end up hurting them in ways unimaginable.
The truth is, we're all already dead, but we're also alive at the same time. Existence is a paradox.

Hey, can you tell me who exactly the person in your drawing is? I mean, what exactly does he do, is he a model? Nice work, by the way!

Well, he's an acquaintance of mine, we're friends on Facebook. From what I know, he's a student and he studies Architecture or something like that. He's from Romania.
