Description
A4 Paper + Gel PenAn older work. I started it somewhere around 2008 and it was finished in december 2010. As usual took me about 20 hours pure time but the right mood escaped me again and again. Those were pretty hard times for me - glad they are over.
Well whatever - enjoy

I find the female character on the right really H.R. Giger like, this drawing makes me dizzy, it's beautiful and well done, just how I like it .

Thank you! It's kind of a tribute - H.R. had a great influence on me in school

Unfortunately or fortunately(maybe both) for me he had a great influence on me when I was 4 but what is the most unfortunate is that artists, however great their influence on me was, were not those who had the strongest impact in my life, I can't draw as much as I did before, so my level is stale if not declining, I'm trying to post only new stuff on DA but the more I do the more I see that, it's not what it was...
By the way I don't know if I already mentioned it to you but I went through your gallery and am quite pleased with what I see, I really like your work, your style is both very professional and personal, everything an artist needs to provide from my standards.
Have a good day.

Yes 4 is probably a bit too early to get acquainted with H.R. At that age I was mostly affected by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Disney stuff As for the "not what it was" thing - it's a feature of growing up I guess. What I did when I was 14-20 seems to me ten times more creative and fluent than what I squeeze out today despite all the obvious errors I can see in my old works. I think it's mostly because of the emotional context and "the grass was greener" stuff. If you take time to draw for at least half a day every week you can not actually decline until you have alzheimer's

I guess you're right, and that I shouldn't let time put me down and as an excuse to be lazy.
Thanks for your answer, it's been of a great help.
Have a wonderful day and be creativity and strong will on your side.

This is both fascinating and inspiring! I love the black and white along with the spiral curve. It bears a nice long look very well, inspiring various thought trajectories, and I'll enjoy coming back again to learn what new ideas arise each time.

Very nice, the double spiral/figure eight composition really unifies this entire piece and the detailing is outstanding.

Thank you
It's actually more of an infinity sign - I reflected upon hope as an eternal self-winding struggle against oneself to move just a little further whether it is completely pointless or not.

Hehe - my first Maurits Cornelis comparison on this site! There were moments in my life I considered making a drinking game out of it

Thank you It seems like this is about as close to the correct balance of complexity and fluency in composition as I've gotten so far.

Спасибо 20 часов это на самом деле не очень много. Тут еще нужно сделать скидку на мою дурацкую привычку по десять минут втыкать на какую-нибудь удачно нарисованную в углу листа рыбу вместо того чтобы работать дальше
