to get the veiny lines i lay usually a light color like white, then i put the red or blue on top of the white. then blow it strongly. you only get one try at it, if it doesnt work it has to be done over...

Very nice! Really like your color combinations here. Feels well balanced compositionally. I also like the contrast of texture with regards to wavy swirl regions with the more defined "webby stuff". Good Job!
