I'm doing a series of four picture that are based around my favorite characters I have made. Iliad being the first and one of the most dear to my heart. Her story is sad, and actually played out with such struggle and attempt to rise above the darkness ahead. I don't know if she made it through okay. She lost her arm, her wings, her innocence, but through this she still holds a strong light in my mind. I want to capture this.

This is Iliad and Valla, a water demon who has helped her survive since her family abandoned her when she was too young to survive on her own. In the end the only lasting comfort she had was the water. in this she was safe, she survived.

I also pay tribute to one of my favorite artists with this: Puimun who showed me the ways of fae, srpite, and spirits and how they too can become something more than a fairy tale. If she sees this, I hope she knows she's my idol.
