Description Although I have a great admiration for sheep, I realized today that they scare the living daylights out of me. I had cycled about twenty kilometers, and was in unknown territory, I got out a map, and suddenly I hear this incredibly loud "BAAAAH!"
Angry sheep don't make for good companions

The scariest thing about sheep is that they don't look directly at you! Their eyes stare in completely different directions.. sort of creepy (:
Again, the colours and light are great and I love that most of the sheep's heads are turned the same way.

Oh yeah, very true! I was very lucky with them turning their heads the same way, this was just a snapshot, when I got off my bike, and got on again
And the light was pretty lucky as well! Only sun I've seen for a week, and it was only out for about ten seconds!

I love sheep, but be warned, they can be vicious creatures at times...
So you spotted the HDR? Wow!
I made it as weak as possible just so that the sky and the ground would both be visible... I can show you the original if you want

No one starts off being fantastic at something. You didn't start off drawing the way you do... I didn't start off taking good(ish) photos... Picasso didn't start... actually it was his goal to draw like a five year old

It is no joke! We can expect an attack any time now. We should send children and women to safety. And make our last stand against he massed hordes of vicious, vicious sheep right here. Give me lamb kebabs or give me death!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

aobaob In reply to daYavuz [2009-02-25 19:52:52 +0000 UTC]

Lamb kebabs! England and Turkey stand united in the battle. I shall call forth for my watchers to escort their wags and kids to the shelter of the caves. We must warn the general public. MTV is fully booked at the moment, so we'll start off with midday cooking programs, scaring old women, and slowly work up to the big channels, such as Eurosport and Sky News. We must do all we can to protect the population. We must form a group on dA to forecast tales, and exchange knowledge on sheep and lamb. And hopefully get ourselves some good meat pies. What do you say to this idea brother?
actually I think I may have overdone that...

daYavuz In reply to aobaob [2009-02-25 20:55:57 +0000 UTC]

Yes, you did, but it was for a good cause!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

aobaob In reply to daYavuz [2009-02-26 09:41:43 +0000 UTC]

That it was. Did you know for example, there is not a single German shop that sells lamb in DΓΌsseldorf?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

daYavuz In reply to aobaob [2009-02-26 16:22:48 +0000 UTC]

That's odd. But I guess when you say 'German' shop you exclude those run by Turks? I am sure Turkish butchers would carry lamb.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

aobaob In reply to daYavuz [2009-02-26 17:41:00 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I'm big friends with this man called Abdullah who sells the finest... no, the only lamb. Actually why are there so many Turkish people in Germany?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

daYavuz In reply to aobaob [2009-02-26 19:22:42 +0000 UTC]

In the 60s Germans needed 'guest' workers and lots of people in the Turkish countryside needed jobs. The rest is history.

aobaob In reply to daYavuz [2009-02-26 19:30:50 +0000 UTC]

Ah right... build up the infrastructure again im guessing. Same with the Polish.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

daYavuz In reply to aobaob [2009-02-26 21:18:07 +0000 UTC]

Well, the Polish came in because they got into EU and the EU already had labor force mobility regulations. The Germans couldn't very well close their borders, even though they tried to get some limitations, I think. The Turks were invited when the Germans needed workers. (And now they want them out. Ungrateful gits.)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

aobaob In reply to daYavuz [2009-02-26 22:38:08 +0000 UTC]

Oh right. There does seem to be a lot of tension between the two.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

daYavuz In reply to aobaob [2009-02-26 23:22:10 +0000 UTC]

Turks and Germans? Foreigners are easy targets for xenophobes and racists. Doesn't help that the Turks who went to Germany were poor, and poorly educated, thus failed to adapt very much. (Who would leave their country to live in some strange land, if they were not practically forced to?)

I think the lighting saves it. It makes the sheep look evil, which suits your artist comments perfectly
