Description
So since it was too expensive to try to ship the Blaster or Blurr costumes out to BotCon, I made a Kicker costume out of leftover Blaster/Blurr cosplay materials. Spent $10 on cheap sneakers and $2 on an extra bag of glue sticks. This is cosplay on a budget!!!!The helm is leftover Wonderflex and craft foam, the visor is a plastic school folder. The majority of the costume pieces are cut from extra cardboard I had floating around(I was just gonna throw it away anyway) and covered with craft foam and attached with black elastic and velcro.
I had a spare leotard from the Blurr costume, dance pants, reused Blurr's white gloves, and borrowed Blurr's knee caps.
I made my Energon Saber/Star Saber/Mini-Con Saber out of poster board, cardboard, craft foam, and an extra wooden dowel from my Lady Jaye spears. The saber is a bit weak in the middle because I had to make it collapsable to fit in my luggage for transport. The saber *did* become weak after a young child tripped coming toward me for a pic and fell right on the saber, but I was going to break it apart to ship home away so....that worked out.

I very glad and thankful that someone still cosplaying Superlink\Energon characters, despite of unpopularity of this series in USA. You are brave!

Superlink/Energon wasn't very popular here, but nobody ever does a cosplay from that series. And I wanted a human character cosplay that wasn't one of the over-done ones. Kicker's battlesuit is wicked cool, so I had to dress up as him!

You're very welcome! It sucks when you don't have the money for the things we like, doesn't it? Just think what you could create if you had a surplus of cash!!!! So how would you rate Botcon this year? I would think that with the show and the film, that there was lots to see and do!

It does kinda suck to be poor, but everyone is hard-up right now too. There was way too much to do at BotCon this year. With all the guests, panels, cosplays, and what not, I couldn't see and do it all.

I heard alot of people shout out "Kicker" or "I can't believe someone cosplayed Kicker" and "That Kicker costume is so rad!"
A few kids asked what I transformed into, so I had to explain why I couldn't transform.

dude! we stood around and talked for a couple of minutes! i totally didn't know this was you! (paying attention? i'm doing it wrong!) i was the one walking around with the wooden cane and the Blaster Puggle.

I remember! I saw the Blaster puggle and I wanted it so badly! It was my point to cosplay sort-of incognito, just in case the creepies were following me

I know Kicker isn't a very popular character, more or less lots of folks think he's obnoxious, but I love his armor suit! And the helm hid me from most the creepies!
