Description
Jack loves clovers (he's a Sulcata tortoise for those wondering).--edit--
Thanks so much to everyone for their support. This has been my most successful and popular deviation, so thank you thank you thank you!
Just to give you an idea of his current size, here's another shot taken around the same time: [link]

Ha ha ha... that reminds me of the box turtle we have at work. He gets that same look when he's grabbing for a worm

My daughter loves turtle and tortoises in all shapes and sizes, especially sea turtles. This is a wonderfully sweet portrait, the texture of the shell and it's colors stand out well. Lovely!

You're very good at taking pictures (as if my comments haven't already hinted upon that)... if you look at the bit of clover in his mouth it looks like he has teeth... he's cute, and I hope he loves a good long life.

He goes nuts over clovers! Those and strawberries. So funny to watch him eat, too

lol. sounds like a picky eater! Ours loves grapes, too. Watching him try to get a handle on it is funny though, 'cause it keeps rolling until he smashes it with his ginormous feet We use this dry-moss-type bedding for him, which also doubles as his primary diet. It's supposed to most closely resemble that of his natural habitat.

Mine...I don't know. I rescued him from a pet store. He had a upper respitory infection when I got him. And he is neurotic. The only thing he will eat is lettuce....or stuff that resembles letuce like spinach greens. I've fried feeding him grass...he tromples over it till it's mushy. He pretends the carrots aren't there. Rolls the strawberries around his enclosure until they are sandy, mushy and only vaguely resemble straberries.

As do I. I tried it without his finger in the shot but didn't like it nearly as much.
Thanks so much!

Nah, he doesn't have any teeth However, in a few years he'd probably be able to take one off by sheer power, lol! He's going to take my room when I move out again. And he'll probably outlive me, so I guess he'll earn it.

Heheh, Jack's more afraid of you than you are of him
Actually, he's afraid of EVERYTHING, even clovers, until he realizes what they are, lol.
