Description
Sitting here thinking of what to draw, then BAM! i get this idea and start immediately sketching out stuff. The end result ended up being thisA lot of experimentation going on in this drawing btw.
I wanted twilight to be surrounded by smoke-stuff, but I throughout the sketch I kept changing which direction I wanted the smoke to go, which didn't help considering I've never drawn it before.
Also, this drawing is pretty small so it was hard getting detail into the face (as far as shading goes), i mean, the drawing is so small that my thumb could cover up all of twilights facial features. But i like drawing small, so don't get me wrong
(I'm really REALLY happy about how twilights face turned out in this, aside from the little marks and errors on it)Β
Added little dark streaks just because I did one accidentally and thought it looked awesome!
If you have any questions/thoughts on the drawing then FEEL FREE TO COMMENT! It helps heaps getting some written feedback from you guys

It seems like you have a new drawing out every time I turn around, AppleBeard, and I couldn't be happier about it! Drawing billows of smoke (or water, as the case may be) can be tricky seeing as how they're somewhat transparent and in a state of constant movement, but you did a good job for your first attempt. The dark streaks were a nice touch, giving the picture a sort of ethereal feel to it. I noticed that while her left eye has a line on her eyelid, her right seems to be lacking one. The size of her horn is OK, but it's still a little crooked. The shading on her hair is a little rough but that was no doubt unavoidable, seeing as how small this drawing is. I'll also assume that you left out her wings intentionally. The shading on Twilight's body is excellent and her facial expression is absolutely perfect. Keep up the good work!

These dreaded horns! One day I will get them right
The line drawn on the eyelids was a mistake by my part, and since I drew them after I shaded the lids, I didn't want to risk it because I really liked how the shading looked
I know I need to practice shading hair as-well, even though the drawing was small I still could have done better. And you got it, no wings was intentional Β

Ooh, it looks great! Before I read the description, I thought there were waves surrounding Twilight, not smoke- but either way, it's still a pretty piece!

Thanks! They do look a lot like waves... In fact, I think the drawing becomes a lot more interesting if you think of it as waves thanks for pointing that out!

I got a giggle out of me thinking, "Why isn't there a splash of color?" then realizing "Oh... her eyes are closed..." Heh.

Everything turned out great! Stunning piece.
PS. I like the smoke on the left side the most it kind of gives a slightly plasma look that I like. Great job with shading as always.

The smoke looks alive, I like it either way. I like your subtle approach to shading, so many people make it too dark or overabundant and it just doesn't appeal to me that way.
