For that one I've killed whole freakin' day and evening, for this color practice - few hours

Gosh, Batesy, how many times you've been changed through the time . He is my only OC with the most unstable story and character. Since August 2012 till today he was developing, developing, developing. Even his partner, Luvi, was created in one piece, changing just in small details.
And I still don't know how to write his full name (Перфильми "Перфи" ва Бэйтс) in EnglishXD. Perphi? Perphy? Perfee? Perfeelmy va Bates? Well, maybe

Bates is hermaphrodite and genetically modified human-flyer on religious colony-planet.
His mother was a scientist and wanted to create perfect concept of society, androgynies, half-men and half-women. There wouldn't war or rape, less agression, thought she, 'cause everyone would understand each other better. She was not afraid to do it with her own child. Her friend, Luvi's future mother, supported her. They modified chromosomes, made conception (Luvi's mother made it in a secret from husband) and got pregnant succesfully. Bates and Luvi were born in secrecy.
And through time childhood of Bates and Luvi came in a really tough way. No one understood them. For Batesy it was cruelly, 'cause his mother stubbornly told everyone in their half-scientist city about her "son"'s gender to show how succesful her experiment was. In other hand Luvi's parent's decided to describe Lu as a boy, especially when his grandfather, one of the Church leaders, became interested in him.
And when the words about Perfee's hermaphroditism reached the grandfather's ears, he blamed that whole experiment was against the God.
Bates's mother left him for saving her own life, when he was 12 years old. As he was just a kid, Bates was mercifully allowed to stay by the city goverment against protests of Lu's grandfather. Without any other parent Batesy became almost orphan, left with strict uncle and aunt.
After few years, when scandal got down, Bates and Luvi became really close buddies again.
There goes some really dramatic events --------- and 17 years old Perfee went to the flying scouts' base in the other side of the colony to become one of them. There it was hard for him to find some friends, upset and lost he went to the bar... and didn't remember anything about it. Except he got pregnant after that.
For now Bates is 22 years old, he is sergeant, commander of his squad and loving mother of his son, Io. Everything looks fine, job is a job, friends are near - but religious-political situation in the colony is getting worse and rough. Church is becoming stronger, racist parties against flyers too. Time to worry is near...
And the story begins, when Luvi goes to the scout's base to meet Bates again, after several years, and work with his old friend, if it would be a lucky day.
