I'm alive! Hiatus over, yay!
It was a difficult and hard journey for me. Long story short: I am a full fledged illustrator now! To celebrate this I wanted to share my newest work for you.
This is one of four paintings of seasonal spirits I designed. There is one type of animal for every season. I won't spoil them but you'll see the others in some time. This one took much longer than expected but I learned a lot during the process.

How are you doing? Why, of course you'll see more from me. Otherwise I wouldn't announce a comeback.
Character art is on the way, it just won't be as much as in the past because I want to step out of my comfort zone and try out different things, too. Though my main focus stays on animal and fanatsy art.
I finally found my own path in life, I'm an artist and won't abandon this anymore. Even my family finally understood what's important for me. It's hard to work as illustrator next to my fulltime job but it's my dream to live from my art in near future. And I want to become so much better! Another lesson I have to learn is that I have to keep it up even if I'm not really satisfied with my art.
I am. never. satisfied.
That's partially the reason I somehow gave up on being an artist a few years ago. I always thought I wasn't good enough. Yes, and I know some people would think the same but that shouldn't stop me. I guess I must stop comparing myself to others.

Ah I remember you had a pretty rough time with jobs over the last few years and it dragged you down, so it couldn't make me more happy for you to finally be on track with what you want to do

I want to join as much artist websites as possible to find clients... or letting the clients find me. I even have my own website now. It's not 100% complete yet but it's doing it's job. Hmm... I have to place all links somewhere in my profile.
