I'm not really a big fan of Mario, I dislike Super Mario Bros. 3, World, 64, and while I liked Sunshine to a fair degree, Mario Galaxy really amazed me and it was the first time I ever looked at a Mario game and said "I have to buy this!" Of course, that was after I played the demo at Wal-Mart for over an hour a few years back.While Galaxy 2 was fun, it doesn't beat Galaxy 1 in my opinion, not by a long-shot. I decided to draw a little Mario fanart to share my love of Galaxy with everyone.
Also, I'm not including a not-so-custom-watermark in my future art. I pieced it together by using a random assortment of brushes my teacher gave me while including my initials in the center.
This was done moreover as practice, but I think I'll continue with a series of tributes to Nintendo heroes. Next is either Link or Samus, but first, I need to work on a more personal piece. This will probably also be the last time I use such vivid colors.

It was adorable how Luma stole Mario's hat at the end.
Personally, IΒ thought the second game was more fun (levels and such), but the story and characters for the first on e were much better.

Yeah, those are my thoughts exactly. And what makes me sad is that the developers had planned to put more story elements in Galaxy 2, but then Shigeru Miyamoto told them to scrap those plans

Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite game ever. The sequel was fun and Super Mario Odyssey will be a blast.

You can be surprised with what ImagineFX magazine can teach you. This was actually a step back for me though, just a practice piece of sorts that used VERY amateurish techniques.

Super Mario World is one of my faves in the series...but i also grew up with the SNES. it was the first game that was actually mine, so i guess it holds a special place in my heart.

I just don't care for them. I remember playing Super Mario World at my Aunt's house when I was like 6 but even then I didn't like it. There's just something about those games that don't work for me. I made it a fair amount into Mario 64 before stopping out of a lack of interest. I'm more of an action gamer so platformers aren't really my type of game, unless we're talking about Sonic the Hedgehog, I freaking love Sonic.

I'm not much of a platform gamer. The only platformer I like is Sonic the Hedgehog, and I love it immensely. Overall though, platformers just aren't that great a genre to me. I do think though that Super Mario Galaxy is the best platformer ever made though, plus it's really fun and very visually appealing.

Or not, I've played more Mario games than I noted, about 5x more and I didn't really care for the rest. I do love Mario Kart though, it's impossible to not like it.
