Description I'm not really sure how I should classify this piece..

Well, here's another random vision inspired.. thing on Gallade.. so yeah.
Cool thing tho; now i understand a lot more about them since that freaky vision.

A Gallade's Arm blades are on literal gliding joints between two extensions from the upper most Radius and Ulna that form a sort of sheath. The muscles are specially developed in the upper forearm region. The set of muscles at the base of the "sheath" structure ease and tense to allow the Blade to retract or deploy with the tendons in this connection exceptionally durable to withstand impact. As such, there is also a cavernous region that hollows when the Blade is deployed. This space then engorges with blood which further helps the Blade remain extended much like how hydraulics work in machinery.

The sternum is widened and thick with the blade like protrusion at it's center and interlacing with the front ribs. Likewise, there is another anterior secondary "sternum" with the rear blade like protrusion nestled between the shoulder blades and the spine, interlacing with the back ribs.

The hip bones are much more narrow and less homologous with that of females due to the inherent, instilled sexual dimorphism as Gallade are male only. The lower legs are much wider and thicker than that of the Gardevoir [link] , in accommodation of it's evolved physical prowess and since Gallade do not suspend their weight on their Psychic abilities as did the Gardevoir.

this piece actually it took me about 5 minutes of just sketching.. it took me over an hour to write this actual description.. had to give myself a crash course in anatomy to make sure i properly explain everything. :/

That's a very clever way of thinking of it. I was wondering earlier today how Gallade's blades work~

It's always weird how it's easier to create than to describe the creation.

Man, I'de love to see both studies (Gallade/Gardevoir) in this group. They clearly deserve far more attention than what they have recieved so far, although the attention brought to these might not be little, they still should have atleast another two zero's on those views and likewise for the faves.

Amazing studies on both pokΓ©mon! They will certainly help me out as I draw.
On top of that they are also inspiring!
Cudos, man.

Sometimes I wonder, did the creators of Pokemon put as much thought into this as you did? What you explain is quite the work of art, and It allows me to have a better understanding of these Pokemon. Real cool and a job well done.
