Description
Digitally painted with Wacom Intuos 3Just an exercise piece in which I tried to use less gradients and more low-opacity hard brushes. It's Rogue in Australia from Mike Carey's 'Salvage' story arc and I thought I'd try my hand at a motorcycle. (I don't do machinery that often)
The shrubbery was a lot of work but not as much as I feared. The bike took the longest but the hard brushes actually worked quite well on it.
And hey, I never pass up an opportunity to paint Rogue in her cowboy boots!

Simply outstanding!!!. But leave all the name down the side off, if you put it out there they can remove stuff like this. When you give and trust, you will be given back. It only ruins your art where others don't do that and are fine. Trust in God. AMAZING work again, wow!.

Hey Arco, found those full color JPGs of the six games you did for my studio @ Aristocrat Technologies. If you have a drop box or other FTP service let me know and will ZIP and forward them. Unfortunately I didn't have a copy of AZTEC GODDESS with the last rendered title typography on it.
Let me know where to put them up for you. I like your Savage Land Rogue best so far on your site. But I think once you put up Wealthy Ways Singer you'll get many like on that one for sure.
Cheers from GreenDoor, aka Able Concepts Down Under.

Really well done, one problem though, you have a California number plate on a motor bike that is in AUSTRALIA! If anything the Australian number plates are easier to draw due to minimal detail but with places like PPQ (Personalised Plates Queensland) and their range you could have a lot of fun with it.

I can't say I'm a Roguefan - I only saw her in 90s cartoons, and barely remember a thing. But I do love the atmosphere you created. Sunset, no-one around (well, except fot the lizard), flowers, trusty motorcycle, bottle of water (or soda), a map and a long road to take. It's captivating.

Love it, love it, love it...Only one question where's her headband?

Well, in that particular story arc, she didn't have a head band. It's not really her familiar gold/green costume, more of a biker version of it (Note the chaps). Only lasted that story, but I thought, what the hell.
Thanks for the kind words by the way.

Rogue looks great with cowboy boots; love her roaming 'round the Outback on her bike! And her hair would totally be huge here!

Thanks! And yeah I love her in her cowboy boots too. Few artists seem to remember she wears those, but then nobody's ever out of costume anymore...

Hi, I really like your style, you would be interested in participating in the contest for the realization of the cover of my sci-fi literary magazine?

I would like to feature this in a you-tube slide show video I plan on working on. If it is alright with you.
I will make sure to put your name in the credits and on your art pieces, a link back to your DA page in the description.
What do you think?

Hi! Sorry about the late response, I haven't had a chance to check out DA lately. And yes, of course that's quite alright with me. Thank you, I appreciate it very much.

Thanks for the link, and for putting my name right along in there.
Very nice video. I do think however, you forgot to actually put my art piece in there.
You have only two pieces of Rogue, and mine isn't one of them, hehe.
Just thought it was funny, since usually people will put up someone's art and forget to mention their name. This is the first time it's the other way around!
