I don't get why people prefer MMD over SFM, it's harder to use (It's in Japanese) and the models and textures are lower quality.

There's an English version of MMD, and not all of the models are low quality in MMD, some of them are very high quality. And honestly I think SFM is harder to use, but that's just my opinion.
