Very lovely, I usually associate those colors with warmth, but it works with this to evoke a lonely feeling.

well the great thing about loneliness is that it can strike you regardless of your surroundings. I can't believe I just called it "great" but anyway... I imagined a beautiful field, a sunny day, a girl just swinging from a tree limb, with no one to share all that beauty with. That's loneliness.
