EDIT 2: Since I reworked this so many times, I thought I'd show the process. As well as some of my self deprecating remarks towards the designs I was unhappy with.EDIT 1: Sorry for the double post. And my most sincere apologies to Ed, The Flenz, and DBR, who were kind enough to comment on the original version only to have me cruelly delete it without acknowledging their posts.
I just had to re-do this...as soon as I submitted it I dropped to my knees and cursed the heavens for the monstrosity I just unleashed upon the world.
So I touched it up.
This character's name comes from the Latin word which means wheel. The idea here is that she has a rotating wheel on her back that holds a myriad of weapons.

Great design work on all of them! Nice to see the gradients mixed in with the cellshading.
The third one may be limited with action poses....or at least a pain to work with at times with certain shots...good luck! (Unless the wheel is magic and 'appears' on her back only when she's ready for a weapon.)
I like the second one...the piping on the armor...the green and black contrasting and intersecting bikini/wrapping....a very nice balanced, detailed and semi-intricate design.
I wanna see some action poses!

I'm extremely close to having my style totally defined, and its just easier to draw the figure without throwing in angles and poses. But yeah, I'm actually kinda itching to get some cool poses done.

With a style like this, you do have to define those other angles too with care to match them up...so I can understand the delay.

Nice how you start out with an almost naked chick, and end up with one only showing the skin of her head and fingers ^_^
Just goes to show you don't need to make them half naked to make em easy to look at

well, i personally love brights colors randomly thrown in darks, so i think its a great thing! I dont know what you mean about the contrast...hmm...everything matches enough to not look bad lol.

That's pretty cool. But I just want to say that that wheel in it's design here would be extremely heavy. Her whole pose would be based on balancing this great weight on her back by tensing her leg muscles, bending her knees, and arching her feet. But even then, it would be really hard for her to perform any meaningful functions with that thing.. I would suggest considering slimming the mechanism down. It could be as little as a small, dense wheel in the center with slim scabbard-like strips that protrude to make the wheel. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Yeah once I drew it I'm like..."there's no way someone will wanna carry that around". So in that respect your right. But that's the thing about drawing Fantasy characters, they don't have to make sense.

I actually rather liked the other design more, it was different than your usual fare. Don't get me wrong, I like this one too. It's just I'd rather have had you keep both (or move the other to scraps). But it's your call and your gallery.

I've got one completed, one supposedly on the way, and that's it. Language? I use language every day, it is the key to human survival... and I do mean foul language. Honestly, as long as it isn't too bad (the stuff 3 guys joke about at 2am after watching Superbad) I don't mind and partially bleeped 4 letter words are ok. I think statistically my average viewer is a highschool upperclassman on a site like this and I can always give a language warning on the link if it's a little much.
