Description We started modeling characters in class a bit ago and since then I've been wanting to make my own personal models so that's exactly what I did here, it was pretty tricky cause I don't know much about 3D and I def made plenty of mistakes along the way but here he is!

I am pretty happy with the result tbh, I think he looks great for what he is!

Really great job! I have never been good at 3D and pushed it aside when I was finally allowed ;w; It's so hard and the strangest things happened to my models? I really admire how good you are

(also, small tip. If you save your GIF file with a maximum size of 150x150 pixels as well, then you can use that small file as your preview image, which then will also be animated instead of being a still image)

Thank you!! I really feel that though, I often break parts of my model when I am working on it. For instance the inside of his Lustrum Wing (Hip wings!) had detached on the left at some point? SO I had to remove the wing entirely and replace it with the right one cause that one wasn't broken.

The stomach was also opened for some reason? But that was a quicker fix, just had to combine the vertices! I also had to retexture him entirely cause he was sourcing from 3 version of the texture and i didn't notice till it was too late OTL

But with 3D you can't be afraid to make mistakes, my teacher told us that the only way we'll learn to fix them is to make them! SO I've been looking at it through that mindset :3

Ty btw for the tip!! I'll keep it in mind for the next time I model something!

OMG?! You can get some creepy effects. Open stomach sounds pretty messed up. I made so many mistakes. I once had to work with a pre made head model which we had to make talk. My whole head just melted? When you played the video his whole head sunk in a weird mass... My teacher tried to figure out what I did wrong, she never found out, neither did I. Nowadays I'm really into stop motion doll animation! I love that it's something really solid, something you actually make with your hands. Though 2D animation remains a passion to, it's just a nice switch to remove myself from my screen and actually build something.

What do you wanna do something with 3D later? Like, for a company? Or do you keep it more as something for yourself?

Ooo that sounds really cool, I love stop motion animation! Some of my favorite movies when I was little were stop motion actually and even when I revisit them now it’s still so cool? I’d imagine it takes the most time out of all kinds of animation

But nah! I just wanted to do 3D for myself, maybe take commissions for it when I’m more competent but I don’t plan on solely working in it! I actually want to work in concept art ^^
