Fanart of 's character Tyler!It ended up looking almost nothing like him....

I'm just... uploading it here... trying to be less critical of myself... Yes it isn't perfect, but it isn't bad!

The outline is horrible because it was initially only going to be a quick sketch of Tyler... and then I started to like it... so I overworked it (like I always do).
I NEED TO STOP DOING THAT!
But regardless of whether I like the end result, it was hella fun to draw! Tyler's an awesome character, and it was fun trying to get his personality in there!
PS. You can't see it, but the poster behind his head says "Crash and Burn", which is the title of the manga Tyler is from!
Programs used: Photoshop for base colors and composition- Sai for everything else.
Time: ... way longer than I intended lol. (Like a week and a half, but I only worked on it for about two or three days.)

I'm sure we met a Tyler like in all our lives. I did. He's one of my very best friends and he's only nice to me out of my group of friends and very over protective of me. He's like a older brother figure for me. ^^
But his temper... It used to scare me before but now I usually have to be the one to calm him down. XD

Hahaha Oh no worries. People from high school flat out said they "shipped" us since despite him being a gothish/punk type (I assume he's punk XD) and I am rather girly/goody goody girl who studies alot and happy go lucky all the time (people get surprised I'm into a few punk bands but I'm more of a pop punk and indie bands since because I don't dress in a "punk" way. I just laugh and go the fashion style isn't really me but I enjoy the music and very open to several genres of rock and punk music. XD
We used to laugh at the fact people wanted us to go out. We were like "No." XD
Anyway, we met in the weirdest way. I used to send notes to my goth friends and she at the time had a crush on my "Tyler like" friend. I send her a note drawing him in "chibi" form as a bunny with a pissed off expression as a joke. So I guess in her French class, she dropped the note and he picked it up since he took French with her. He saw his name was on it and then saw my drawing.
He asked who drew this and she panicked and said it was me. He told me he remembered me from a previous year we had class together and remember me as "the really nice girl with brown glasses glued who was glued to the sketchbook. " XD
So then my friend warned me and I was like "AHHH!!! I'm gonna die! DX" He approaches me at lunch and starts to laughing. I was like O_O and then he told me he loved the picture. We started exchanging funny notes and then we just became good friends.
Ever since then we have been really good friends. We always cared for each other like siblings since we always argue about everything and or tease each other. But sometimes when he gets ragingly pissed at someone, I used to get scared and he would stop and tell me he's sorry I had to see that.
Now I get pissed at him for making a scene and he will sulk like a puppy. XD

Haha That's pretty much how we roll. Hahaha Exactly! I mean all the girls he likes are way different from my personality (He's into tough girls who show nothing but confidence XD) and all the guys I have liked...well I had two crushes in my life and well they were different from one another and way different from my "tyler" like friend. My dream guy is "SCOTT!" like character. It's so hard to find a nice and cheery guy like that in Southern California...Land of jerks.
But people still ship us. Our own group of friends have a bet with one another when are we gonna go out or when who will ask who out. Everyone thinks he will ask me out. My tyler like friend, blushes, and cusses/yells them out and tells them our friendship is nothing like that. I just laugh and tease him too by saying "Yeah...When ARE you gonna ask me out? Poor me. I'm waiting here like a sitting duck, suffering with a broken heart. You horrid man, you! " He usually gives me a glare cause he knows I'm joking and enjoys his misery. XD

Kyle is VERY sexy, I admit. Yet I never would be "attracted" to him. (I have another guy friend who isn't as half as good looking as Kyle but he's a super flirt and "falls in love" with a different girl every week. I was his crush for a whole month. He told me himself. It was awkwardly hilarious. XD )

I so totally will! I am forcing him to read "Crash'n'Burn" and he loves Tyler's character but refuses to see any temper similarities. Denial. It's funny because he smiles around me a lot since we love cracking jokes. Our own group has seen him smile too. But back in high school people would try to do anything to just to make him smirk a little. I used to laugh at this since he would get severely pissed off people would make him laugh. XD
Oh man, don't even get me started on his "fan girls" XD TOO LATE In our senior year of high school we went into our favorite diner. When we were talking and eating, my best friend, El, (who acts spot on like Kimi who's observant and very quiet around even our own group but talks to me only and she's our "writer" chick since she writes amazing) Anyway she whispers to me that these group of girls followed us to the diner and is sitting across from our sport to look at my "Tyler" like friend.
I noticed and flat out started laughing because they were making love dovey faces to him and he didn't even noticed. So my other guy friend noticed too and soon everyone in the table knew except for my Tyler like friend and he was like "What the hell is so funny?" We lost it there
At that moment his 3 fan girls came out and flat out sat in the empty seats of the table. We were all stunned at first. My "Tyler" like friend was giving them a "WTF" we didn't call you over face. I smiled and was like "Hiya! How can we help you girls ^w^ Don'tcha go to school with us?" They all nodded and go "We do but we are freshman." Tyler guy friend was just awkwardly sipping his soda and trying not to make direct content with those girls.
Then their leader looks directly at Tyler like friend and blushes. She goes "Ummm...." He's giving her a "Eh?" look. She then blurts out "YOU'RE SO HOT!"
Our whole group froze and he had a look of "WTF..." Meanwhile El and I looked at each other and started laughing so hard. We were crying from laughing. Our Tyler like friend slammed his fist into the table and said let's go. He then said to the girls "Er...Thanks...for that...Gotta go."
This is just "one" of his fan girl groups. He has about 5 others. Meaner and Harsher.

It's uncanny. I even shown him on the Crash'n'Tumblr site with Tyler's hairstyles throughout the years. I pointed to one where it was spot on when we met and he got excited to see the liberty spikes mohawk on him and was like "Print that out...I even like the color on him. I might get that."

Seriously all his girlfriends are nuts. One punk girl I remember came off as very cool and down to earth but she turned out obsessive and creepy. She flat out told me that my Tyler like friend and I were "too close" and she told me to get out of the group. MY GROUP! As in, we have been friends since Junior year at high school and some of my friends I knew from elementary. I was like "Nope. I met Tyler 2.0 (lol my new name for him XD) like a bro to me. If you want me to keep my distance, I understand but don't tell me to separate from my friends."
Then she apologizes to me and says "Promise me you'll distance yourself. Okay and Don't tell him about this." I was like "Fine but don't treat me with disrespect again and you better make him happy." I said this because I noticed Tyler 2.0 was happy with this chick and I didn't wanna ruin it.
A month passed and I kept my word and she did too. I didn't really hang out with him as much and blew him off for everything. Or whenever our group hung out I would pay him a little attention until his girlfriend showed up.
Everything was cool until Tyler 2.0 grabbed me, gently pinned me against my locker one day at school and asked me why was I ignoring him...I told him flat out it was inappropriate to be spending time with me when he has a girlfriend and who she might get the wrong idea. He then leans his face close telling me he knows I'm lying and wants to know why so he can apologize for whatever he did.
I told him a half truth saying it wasn't his fault and I just should keep my distance from him. He got super pissed and told me we're not friends if I didn't tell him the truth. I said I was and that I keeping my distance for my own reasons. He then scolds "Fine...I guess we're not friends anymore. "
I was sad but then the next day Tyler 2.0 finds me and flat out hugs me. (And bad enough he does this in the middle of the school where everyone sees. The fact he did this in public stunned me since he hates showing his emotions in public to strangers...The entire school went into some fan girl/boy frenzy and or had their mouth open and pointed at us. )
Apparently, my best friend El (I told her what happened between me and his ex and to keep it a secret) told Tyler 2.0 what happened between us and why I kept my distance. El went with him to confront of the girl and basically she told me he called her out in everything and then she confesses she loves him and tells him how she kept string of hair of his, and how she wants to marry him after high school blah blah blah (and he was all...no)
He told me he dumped her the night before and how he's so sorry for being rude to me. He then called me a stupid sweet girl. (Our friends to this day re tell this story whenever we are all together but change the ending and said we hugged and kissed and how we got married after high school and had 12 children and a dog...the end XD)
Totally shoujo moment right there.

She was just one. There were other weird ones. Like the thing is some of his girlfriends got pissed at the fact how we were friends. He tells them every time he won't be with them if they can't accept the fact I'm part of his life.
I tell him to stop doing that to every relationship and he flat out says he wants a woman who will accept me and the fact he wants me in his life too.

Oh no. From the inside of our lives...Well ironically, my life is a little more troubled than his. He doesn't know all of it but I gave him some details of my life ( I have a mo, grandma, and two sisters whom I love dearly and they are the only ones I consider just my family. I care for we all have issues with him since he's pretty much selfish. My aunts, uncles, cousins, are all...terrible people. You have no idea.) and he feels bad already without knowing the entire story but I gave him these vague details. It's hard for me to tell him or my best friend El and we have been friends for 5-6 years.
But they never pressure me to tell and they are just always there for me. I think that's why Tyler 2.0 is very protective of me.

One of funniest was when he came to pick me up. I was ready and stuff and my parents were checking him through the window and saw him and my mother screamed "CALL THE POLICE! " and thought he was going to kill me. My dad was all laughing and going "Alright. That kid looks like he came out from a Rolling Stone Matrix or something." lol what? XD
I started to laugh and I was so embarrassed and Tyler 2.0 was totally blushing and shaking his head convincing my parents he was harmless...(to me XD)
Then that day got weirder when we were stalked by a female Harry Potter cos player who wanted to touch Tyler 2.0's regular mohawk. We had to ran from her too although I told him he could have just let her touch his hair and met a hobo who called Tyler 2.0 a "whipper snapper" and kept hitting him with a toilet scrubber. XD
Tyler 2.0 got pissed and was so close to beating up the guy but I gave him one of my rare glares, saw it, made a scared/cringe face, and sulked in a nearby corner going "Fine...I won't beat up that man..." XD

Course as close as we are we do kinda fight. Our fights consist of us yelling at each other and us walking away form each other, and usually Tyler 2.0 (even if it was his fault or mine) he would find me, give me a present (like my favorite candy sour gummy worms) , and tell me he hates it when we fight an about an hour-3 hours after we fight.

Haha then there was the time I showed him my build a bear (lmao yes I'm obsessed with build a bear. It's my disbeyworld or candy shop). He looked at my bear and I made him hug it as a joke to take a picture but he got attached. He loved my bear and said it was super soft, black, and it reminded him of me Because of the smile XD
I always bring it sometimes and he automatically grabs it and holds it. I love that deadpan/pissed off look lightly blushing as he's holding my smiley faced black teddy bear xD

Hahaha XD Then there was the time when we couldn't stop laughing when we were walking from school since we saw this really really REALLY angry old man who had a unicorn car. Yes. It was like exactly this car [link] in dark blue with a white unicorn horse and the horn was pink in the front of the car.
The back end had a sparkly pink tail. It was one of the most WTF moments ever. We couldn't breathe.

Sometimes he will act like he's my boyfriend(Just by hugging me XD) only to scare off a stalker guy but then we just laugh and I tell him "Alas, I knew you'd fall for me one day!" hahaha
Or sometimes when I defend him he'd go "I knew you couldn't resist my damn charm."
We just joke about it. I dunno how to describe it but the only way I could sorta compare our friendship it's just like Hermione and Harrys. We are very clos/sibling like but nothing more. XD
Though some people and friends believe we might get together. Our friends and the two of us had recently had a discussion about this actually. About our friendship. Tyler 2.0 and I wanted to finally just confront our friends about our friendship is mutual and we honestly have no feelings currently for each other.
We told our friends, "Whatever happens, happens." Then I said "Knowing Tyler 2.0, he'd take advantage of me and try to seduce me and I will be nothing more than just another girl on his list and he'll ruin my purity and then no one would marry me. I will be left alone in the dark as crazy dog lady and fend for myself in my single and small apartment." XD
Tyler 2.0 goes "If I did sleep with you, you wouldn't be just any other girl to me.... *blushes*"
I was like: O///O ...Whuuuuttt...That's just-*blushes* Why would you even say that. Ugh. Jerk.
Tyler 2.0: Well it's true! You're special and even if we were to you know, do it, I would make sure your first time is...well...nice and gentle. I mean come on, I'm not THAT of a cruel bastard.

I remember Tyler 2.0 and I (grabbed our some tennis rackets) and we were chasing our friends all over the street and yelled "YOU SALTY BASTARDS. DAMN YOU ALL!!! COME BACK HERE! DESTROY THAT TAPE RIGHT NOW!!!"
