Edit 12/10/2014: deviantArt has made a lot of changes since this tutorial was first made so I finally went back and corrected it. You do NOT have to be a premium member to have stamps. Just follow the steps in the tutorial.
I'm not sure if someone has made this before. They probably have and have done a better job.
BUT I get this question quite often so I've made this to link people to when they ask. I feel like I can show better than tell.

It does, but you need CORE membership to post thumbnails in comments, unfortunately.Β

True, though it's worse than ya think. They're tight on money which is why Core exists, when they get enough in a few months-a years time they will change it back probably, or.. if too many people boycott... dA will no longer be a thing.

I'm able to do it on my frends homepage for some reson you can see it if you don't believe me all I did was insert a picture or what ever it's called and instead of drawling it click on stash and upload to the stash click the picture size it and press enter all that come up different is it says show picture and you click on itΒ
and with stamps you can just save the photo and than upload it to a journal that's what I did of course I'm doing this on a iPadΒ

first of all I don't know why you said that to me second I don't like having enimys and when you said that I felt like I was getting hit by a train it was a big shock because I thought you were my freand I did not know what to say but that definitely hurt my feelings but for what ever reson I did that I'm sorry that's why I just talked to you so I could say this I hope you understand that I'm not a mean guy I'm a happy guy that loves people and his frends so I'm sorry :/

Whenever I use stamps, some of them are a random deviation that is not the original stamp, text and numbers, and/or a gray box with a lock on them. Only a very small amount of them are actually the stamps I intend to use.

Any changes made to the stamp from the artists end will change the stamp on your end. If the artists puts it in storage or moves/deletes it that will alter the stamp on your end.

How do I put stamps in descriptions for just artwork, say adoptables? Not journals or literature or anything. I've seen people do it, I just have no idea how. ;-;

Do you know why some stamps appear to look gray with a lock on them? Is there any way to fix that?

The original stamp artist may have removed the stamp from their gallery.

Do you have to ask the maker for permission before using their stamp?
