Description
This is one of the two-page spreads I did for Guardians of Order's "A Game of Thrones" roleplaying manual. Sadly, the company went out of business after the manual was published, but it was a beautiful book.Related content

Great.
But one thing is wrong. Arya is not red. She and Jon are both dark (and look alike, while all other kids are red and look different, so that Arya some times thought she is a Bastard too)
Arya and Jon are the two only childs that look like Starks. The other childs have the Tully look (including the redish hair)

I know, people have pointed that out before (as well as the length of her hair). At the time I did this painting (which was ages ago), I wasn't all that familiar with the material and I only had the reference of the characters provided to me by the gaming company, so I didn't know any better. Now I'm a big fan and I can see all of the mistakes, but there's nothing I can do about them now because it's already been published. I just have to shrug my shoulders and move on, and portray Arya more correctly if I ever draw her again. Thanks for looking and commenting!

I so loved this scene...and was hoping that Syrio would survive somehow...unbeknownst to us. Oh cruel cruel George R.R. Martin!

One of my favorite scenes, and one of my favorite characters. If I'd had a child, I'd want whoever was teaching him or her to be as good at it, and as protective, as Syrio Forel was. Shai Dorsai, Syrio!

Magnificent!(or as Syrio would have said, "Just so.")

Very nicely done! You caught the characters wonderfully.
The lighting is wonderful, too.
But wasn't Arya's hair still long in that section?

Thanks! You're probably right. They gave us reference of the characters to follow, and the artist who designed the characters' looks probably didn't do a before and after shot of Arya's hair, so I just had the "after" shot. I wasn't familiar enough with the material at the time to question it (unlike now when I've read the book three times lol). There's a lot I would do differently with this piece now since I've learned so much more about digital painting since then, so we'll just put Arya's hair on that list

This was such a good scene in AGOT, but I was sad about what happens to Syrio! You did a really good job with the background and with the guardsmen, and Arya as well, but I think the fingers of Syrio's left hand look a little odd...or maybe it's just the angle?
By the way, there's a group called that hosts ASOIAF art, I'm sure they'd love to have you if you're interested.

Thanks! I played two games from this RPG before the GM cancelled the campaign. I was so bummed because I was really into my character and I love love love the setting. The RPG itself is fantastic. Too bad Guardians went out of business because they did a really amazing job with this book.

Thanks! I LOVE the books too. I discovered them because of this project. I wish I could have done something with Loras since he's my favorite character, or Jaime. I may have to do some AGOT fanart one of these days.

Glad you like it!
