It's a bit like a grungy earth version of a place in Starwars.

I could only second everyone else about how nice the scene is. The 'retro' BMW is a nice touch :}

It just doesn't look right. It should be coming from above but it looks like it's coming from the sides in a strange way.

Sorry to tell you man, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. If something looks wrong, it is wrong.

I wont argue with you bro. It's hard for me to take such critics especially without explanation from someone who has no art education and is 17years old.
On top of that I can tell you man that lightning mostly was calculated by V-ray.
I'm pretty sure that top industry software designed for realistic lightning calculations does the job well.
I did take a moment and done lil overpaint for you so you could check whats going one here.

Cant see any side lightning here you were talking about.

There's no need for arguing. I'm not very good at taking critique either, so I feel you, and the only reason I said anything was because you specifically wrote "what do you think guys & gals" in the description, and I thought that the lighting looked wrong. After looking at the painting for a while, I think I've figured out what looked 'wrong', and it's the lack of value changes in areas that are in shadow. Her body looks flat, you know? And where's the cast shadow from the hood?
Here , I made a quick paintover to show what I'm talking about. I may have went a little overboard with the cast shadow (and the hood shouldn't actually be that bright), but the main focus here was on the suit. Looks better with some distinction of form, doesn't it? Although I still feel like the lightest areas shouldn't be where they are, but lighting is definitely not my strongest suit so I'm not going to argue with that. Have you seen Sycra 's series on Foundations of Light and Shadow? It taught me a lot about the basics of lighting, even though I still have a lot to learn. As do you.
I hope you learn something from this and don't take it as an insult. I'm only trying to help, but if you really feel that a 17-year-old without art education doesn't know shit, then that's your opinion. Good luck.

Thanks!
Yes, It's mixed stuff with use of 3D [Maya, zBrush] digital painting [Photoshop] and some photo-bash [mostly textures].
I'm trying to incorporate thees two tools [maya & z] into my current workflow.
