Description
This is a copy one of Luis Royo paintings I made in year 2002. I am self tought drawer. This is one of the works I made to practise my skills. Here I tested 3 colours of ink and pen. The format of this work is 70x50cm and it took me week to finish it. I often copied my favourite paintings, because that was more like the exercise for using different medium. I like to draw what I see more than things from imagination.I dont draw any more, I am now more interested in scratchbuilding or sculpture.

did you know that there is a picture luis royo did that is a partner to the one this is based off of. I only have seen it once. I know it is of a woman standing in a pond with a white cloth around her lower section. Also it is a back shot.
The work you did is great and I have the poster of this.

I've seen seen many things drawn with pencil imitating the work of Royo, but I am awed by the fact that was done with three colors of ink. Bravo.

Wow! I really like the satiny texture and your choice of colours. Also, I agree with you about observational drawing being more enjoyable than the imaginative variety, though I tend to do a bit of both. Good work!

Wow! Your skill with pen and ink is astonishing! I also rather like the idea of copying a master's work to practice, it has an old school art teaching feel to it. I once copied Van Gogh's Starry Night in high school myself.

Amazing. I must practice to be as good as you, but.. you drew it in that way which I don't prefer. I prefer only pencils, but it's still incredible! What a pity you don't draw anymore.

Thanks.I must try it again. I like pencil, but with very fine line, so it takes so long to hatch bigger areas.
