Wow, that's really hard to do with watercolour! I mean, color over color, stain over stain, and obtain this effect... U must be working with watercolour for a time now...

Thanks for the enthusiasm! Yes, I have been doing it for awhile, but only in recent years I have had enough time to focus on my art. Make sure you have really good paint and really good paper. I know people try to save money thinking 'I'll use this till I get better', but it's almost impossible to get better with bad materials. The next most important thing is to be bold and experiment a lot, Also, watercolor paints do a lot of exciting, maybe unexpected, things on the paper. Dont treat it as an error, make use of it, incorporate it in the final result. Watercolor is a wonderful medium if you give it a descent chance, like a duet between you and the painting

This is amazing. I was scrolling through the group and this immediately caught my eye. Β I am not usually a fan of water colors but you have changed my mind on the potential of this medium. Β This is outstanding and you should be very proud!

Thanks for your wonderful comment! It's particularly rewarding as I used to have a low opinion of watercolors too, till I encountered the bold and free paintings of the Β 'california style'. Watercolor doesnt have to be wishy-washy

This makes me think as much of underwater as of sky. The free form of the composition definitely conveys the feeling of floating.

I think photos of space also have this 'underwater' feeling. Perhaps because the stars/nebulas seem to float in space, with nothing to hold them in place. Only things on the ground seem bound by gravity...
