The town of Hollow Shades would be the opposite of what the Solar Empire would be like.

The town would be awake at night instead of the day, because the bat ponies cannot see in daylight, like how we cannot see in the darkness. They would have shadow lamps that spread darkness instead of light so the people if the town could see during the day. It would also be on at night to block out the moon light.

They can't see in daylight, it will be blinding to them. So they would carry shadow lanterns around and maybe have umbrellas and sunglasses on.

Things that we consider scary would not be to them. Like spiders, crows, snakes and so forth would be cute, so they would have those as pets. As for things that the Solar Empire would have as pets or considered cute would be scary to them.
