"What? How can an awesome console get so much HATE?" you might ask. Well, the Wii U received lots of hate when it first came out. I'm going to object to each of the reasons.I've done research and these are the reasons the Wii U is hated.
Reasons for being hated: Too expensive, under-powered, controller messed up, bad graphics, the online part, and little to no third party support.
All BAWWWS will be in bold.
BAWWW!!! The Wii U is too expensive!
If you think about it, the Wii U is pretty pricey, but if you save up lots of money you can buy it. The key word is #savemoney . The reason why you're whining about the Wii U being expensive is because you spend all your money on other things. This is a horrible reason to hate the Wii U.
BAWWW!!! The Wii U is under-powered!
This is probably because you never charge your game-pad. When you are done playing you should charge it even if it's fully charged. It's the same with the Nintendo 3DS. Charge it when you are done using it.
BAWWW!!! The Wii U's controller is messed up?
Seriously? How is it messed up? When I got my Wii U on the 4th, I got used to the controller FAST. That's because I played with it before my Wii U got plugged in to my TV!

How does it have bad graphics? In my opinion the graphics are pretty awesome and it's far better than some consoles out there.

Be happy about that. The internet part of the Wii U is free, while the XBox has pay-to-play internet. >.> At least, that's what I heard.

Even though I am starting to doubt Nintendo's professional decisions including the roster of the Smash game..
I still prefer the Wii U than rather Xbox One or PS4 really.. It was really fucking tough for me to pick the best new gen system really..

Even though it's true that it didn't sell as much as the Wii, I still like it. I heard Splatoon became popular when it came out for the Wii U at June. While it's true that the graphics are technically a generation behind just like the Wii, it's still can have good quality games like super smash bros and Splatoon.

That's not what people mean by underpowered in the context of consoles.
And I'm not saying the Wii U is expensive but "save money" is not a valid answer. $300 is a lot of money, and even if they have the money to spare, many people feel that they will not get $300 of enjoyment out of it, and that the money would be better spent elsewhere.

I have played many nintendo consoles, playstation 1 & 2, and a little bit of Xbox and 360 and I have had fun with all of them. But I will say I don't care for the xbox line much and I have plenty of favorites with playstation and if I were to get another non nintendo console it would be sony's. But I love the Wii U and I personally think it's an excellent system and has great graphics. The internet is great and the online play hasn't giving me any issues so I don't get why it's hated on so much. And I really hate it when some of those people complain about nintendo being for kids, they have Bayonetta 2 and even offer the first game with it and last I checked that game isn't for kids. For me, nintendo puts a lot of effort making games lasting fun for everyone.

nintendo actually has the idea that you can make good games with less processing power, and it does work. they don't need fancy realistic graphics like the other ones, and there is nothing wrong with that.
