WRITING CHALLENGE - Year Of The Dragon

Art Requirement: 250 words

The year of the dragon is one of opportunity, and this year’s dragon, the wood dragon, is one of abundance and growth. So this year, we’d like to do something a bit different and ask you, our user base, what your personal goals within Grimsby are this year! Want to reach a thousand acorns? Have a folk you’re gnashing at the teeth to horribly irreparably traumatize? Tell us all about it and get some cones for your trouble!

I often find that talking about my plot plans is a lot like telling someone a wish you made on birthday candles or a shooting star. In that once it’s public, it is far more difficult to actually see it to completion and often ends up never coming true. Something, something, obligations, false pressure from within, y’know? However, I do have one of my goals that I have very almost reached that I feel comfortable sharing and that is earning 400 pinecones!

Why four hundred as a goal you may ask? Well, quite simply… I want a buffer incase of pinecone auctions. Very specific pinecone auctions. I’ve never participated in an auction before so I think it might be interesting to try it out sometime.

Once I reach four hundred? Uh… five hundred, I guess! Depends on if I get sick of hide and seek or not. (Note to self: sketch out the remaining ones of those.) Only five more to go! Can you believe it! That is until I get more kits of course… that’s kind of an inevitably but! For now! Five more and then I can move on to Wayward Woolie! Or maybe The Traveller’s Tough Luck? (Keep meaning to ask if that one is going to be retired, you can add that to the “things I want to do this year” list too, I guess, haha)

I do think it would be quite amusing to try to grind my way up to one thousand at some point as a sort of passive goal. I won’t. The items are too alluring. But it’d be funny.

“What is the prize for 1k pinecones?”
“The ability to say you have 1k pinecones, my dear, of course.”

Anyway, joking aside, I do want to grow up Advent this year. I’ll probably try to draw his app up after I post this. So that’s something.

I can see myself growing a few of my kits this year. Again no promises, no pressure. Just as and where the wind blows.

‘Til then. The pinecone quest continues.
