Although I perfer the game continuity where Sonic lives on Earth, I think this is pretty cool.
I think they got the insparation for the Mobius Map when they pulled out a map of Earth as it was 150 Million years ago.
I mean just look at it, you can see the developing atlantic ocean, what will be Florida, indian ocean opening up. North and Self America taking shape, Antartica on the move south, it looks just like Earth 150 million years ago. And you thought Mobius was a future earth

I may be in a massive minority here but i actually felt sorry for you when the leader-of-the-freedom-fighters-turned-cold-hearted-robotic-sidekick-for-eggman punch you in the chest. You could tell they were doing a sadistic fanservice for the people who hated you
