Description

Man oh man! Drawing can be tedious at times. But when you put enthusiasm, imagination and effort into it the results can be insanely impressive. I myself am speechless about this. But I’m still not completely satisfied. I find the more I do the more I want to add to it (and I will too). Just look at the highlights and the shading on the teeth, nose, fur, hair, eyes, ears, and let’s not forget the age lines. Goth would have to be pretty old in his time when he fights Leon. Since he was already mature in Silverwing when he was pursuing Shade and Marina. Then there comes the time where he comes back to life in the end of Firewing (pardon if that was a spoiler) where his aging continues. That’s why I’m having him as one of Leons main enemies.

Yes! That means this is what he’s going to look like in my fan-fiction ‘Leon’. This is why I drew him in the first place. I drew him to look older with another reason. Leon fights the Spectrum Agent a year and a half before fighting Goth.

Can anyone guess whom I have to thank for inspiring me to strive to be the crazy yet masterful vector artist I am today?

I have to say, I'm really impressed. Especially the hair.

Oh the hair was nothing. The set of teeth was the main ordeal.
Thanks. I play a lot of DragonFable which has such neat hair shading now. Before the styled were shaded just like in any old style anime. All the new hair styles have beefed up graphics. They've even revamped the base class heads to actually have eyes with pupils (Sadly you can't colour them as of this day).
The colour and shading inspiration for the hair was from DragonFable as well. Not from any hair colour in the game but the colour of the blood in the moat of Queen Safirias castle. And what better colour and shading for a remastered drawing of a crimson haired villain who's out for blood than blood red itself? I committed to memory on the shading because it was so memorable in DragonFable.

The makers of DragonFable (Artix Entertainment) inspired me to jump into vector art. One artist in particular made me want to become one with their group. I've been drawing vector art insistently ever since.

Holy cow, I love the details you put into this one! The simple lines along his mouth and lips that give that perfect feel of them moving back to bare his glistening and frightening teeth!

That's actually something I've never done before. Usually I miss the teeth because they rarely show. I also used shading to bring out the shape of his brows.
I did of coarse need reference so I looked at a few screenshots on google. It helped me so much. Otherwise I never would have got his colours or shapes right.
